Overview
My peer-reviewed publications reflect my commitment to strengthening our understanding of student success, equity, and the possibilities that emerge when we move beyond deficit thinking. My work centers rural students, Men of Color, and the leadership and systems changes needed to expand opportunity. I also value collaborative writing because it deepens the work and reminds me that scholarship is a collective effort.
I contribute to the field by reviewing proposals for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Conference, particularly in Division J - Postsecondary Education and Division J Section 6 Society, Culture, History, and Change, and by serving as a peer reviewer for The Rural Educator, roles that allow me to support emerging scholarship and help strengthen our knowledge base.
I write to offer meaningful insights that inform practice, deepen understanding, and create pathways where all students and educators can thrive.
